We pray for our world in turmoil and all the Leaders and people in a position of authority that in this New Year they will put aside their want for personal gain and power and instead work for world peace putting an end to discrimination and war, we also pray for those in need and pray those with more than they need will give freely to those in need curbing the famine which is wide spread through the World.
We also pray for those churches effected by need for Synod the sell their property to ensure the synod’s financial stability to continue its support of all the needy causes they support.
Also we pray for our own situation as we see one of our own church sites with all of our fond memories cleared for a new development we pray our re furbishing plans will move smoothly and quickly to allow our people to get a clear vision of the future of our church in our local area, and during this process we will be welcomed and feel at home as we join with Gladstone Park during the building phase.
As we move into 2014 we look back to the end of a very busy year coming to the end with the closing our Keilor East Site, so now we start to look forward to what we believe will be an exiting year, with our renovations starting around the middle of the year this will be a new chapter in the life of the Keilor East – Airport West church, at the completion of our building we are hoping to be able to offer even more support to our local community and continue to spread the good news of God.
Whilst our buildings are unavailable we look forward to worshiping and sharing with the Gladstone Park Uniting Church.
During the year we have supported many Mission Organisations financially locally within Australia and overseas. As well as our usual efforts we have supported the many natural disasters around the world.
