We pray for our world in turmoil and all the Leaders and people in a position of authority that in this New Year they will put aside their want for personal gain and power and instead work for world peace putting an end to discrimination and war, we also pray for those in need and pray those with more than they need will give freely to those in need curbing the famine which is wide spread through the World.
We also pray for those churches effected by need for Synod the sell their property to ensure the synod’s financial stability to continue its support of all the needy causes they support.
Also we pray for our own situation as we see one of our own church sites with all of our fond memories cleared for a new development we pray our re furbishing plans will move smoothly and quickly to allow our people to get a clear vision of the future of our church in our local area, and during this process we will be welcomed and feel at home as we join with Gladstone Park during the building phase.
Many in the Community have asked the question” What is happening in Dinah Parade Keilor East” where for many many years the Presbyterian then later the Uniting Church has been for the use of the Community as well as for the local congregation.
No we haven’t closed we have moved forward. We have sold our property to enable us to provide a better facility and service to our community. We have moved to unite with the people in Airport West. Cnr Glenys Ave., and Roberts Rd., Another Uniting Church in our area. We are currently working with architects and the Synod of the Uniting Church to renovate this facility to provide an improved facility that will be used by the Congregation and community once again. We will be enabled to provide improved activities as we join to enthusiastic groups of people into one to be a greater presence in the area.
